Buying Your Ikea Desk for home or office
 
Choosing an Ikea computer desk is quite difficult.

You must always choose one which will take not only the computer itself but also the monitor, printer and space for other accessories.

Choose a comfortable chair at the same time which will be at the right height to enable you to sit comfortably close to the monitor and Keyboard while being able to get your knees under the keyboard support.

A Desk with storage space for an external hard drive and dvds is also a plus.
Measure up the space you have available at home before you go out to buy a computer desk.
 
There are some excellent Home Office Type desks which unfold from the front to give you lots of additional space.
 
It would definitely be a bonus if there is sufficient space for an A4 pad and pen to make notes. You should not have to bend down too often to change dvds or install paper in the printer.
 

Most Computer desks come with a slide-out drawer or shelf for the keyboard.

Room for a scanner may well be worthwhile if possible.
 
You will of course need room for a computer mouse pad and mouse.
